The Renewed Mind!

Quite frequently, I receive correspondence from people who request prayer.
Some appear to be more desperate than others, but most are sincere in their
petitions. Such was the case recently, when a lady emailed her requests. Without
going into confidential specifics, here is a summary of the petition. In
essence, this precious Christian was being tormented by "evil thoughts," which she
felt were from the enemy. Secondly, there was a considerable amount of
self-flagellation over past sins. It was clear to me. She seemed to have extreme
difficulty in letting go. Finally, the note intimated that no one else had ever
been through such an ordeal. In this person's eyes, her case was unique. Many of
us can truly identify with that.
The letter was considerably long and detailed. As I read each sentence, the
heaviness of its negativity was contagious. Words jumped from the page and
resonated within this writer's soul. A personal identification of what that dear
woman was experiencing strongly impacted me, promoting memories of past trying
encounters in my own walk.
The adversary is indeed a liar. Since truth doesn't reside within him, he
can't speak what's foreign to his very nature. Neither can Satan recognize
reality when it's staring this defeated foe in the face. So, why should we be
listening to a pathological fabricator? He has no right to the Christian's ear.
Entry can only come by way of our consent.
You and I are to be diligent with what we hear, bringing every thought into
captivity, as the Word and Peace Meter are regularly checked, that internal GPS
Guidance Unit, for the purpose of determining the origin and authenticity of
each conscious suggestion.
Returning to that letter, the Holy Spirit immediately interrupted with this
remark: "Paul, most people are confessing the problem instead of speaking forth
its cure. The power of life and death resides in the tongue. And no word from
God, or His Children, is void of the capacity to self materialize. It's time
for the Body of Christ to recognize both the authority and potency She's been
accorded through the Savior's finished work and the Blood Covenant. I am
calling My Church to pray the Word."
How true that revelation really is. One will never rise above the level of
his confession. Additionally, we usually profess our beliefs...good, bad and
indifferent. If Jesus is the High Priest of what a Christian articulates, and He
is, then the Master can only anoint what squarely lines up with His Word and
will. Conversely, Satan is licensed to move when we wrongly speak and operate
out of fear and ignorance, while ignoring Heaven's Contract and associated
remedy.
Understand this. One's mind is the womb, a place in which thoughts are
introduced and gestated until they can be birthed by way of the tongue. Not only are
we talking about self-fulfilling prophecy here, but the results of a most
recent study, concluding that, in essence, our words have the ability to tangibly
manifest themselves.
That makes so much sense to me. Humanity was created in the likeness and
image of God. Even without Him, fallen man exhibits and embraces inherent
potentials that resemble the Father's, including an ability to love, give, create, and
even perform the miraculous. Always remember, the Source of all actions and
deeds is invariably determined by the Word and subsequent fruit. An apple
doesn't fall far from its tree. When abiding in the Secret Place, under the
Almighty's shadow, the Christian's walk will enjoy His essence and fragrance, while
pointing those who are touched by that process toward Calvary's hill.
Once more, since you and I were created in the likeness and image of the
Father, what we say and do has a tremendous impact on our personal lives, and
society in general.
It's so crucial to know that any onslaught or temptation we might encounter
is merely common unto man. There's nothing new under the sun, so to speak.
Satan can only mess around with a person's environment and mind, utilizing the
usual, common and ordinary, since he isn't creative. However, our weapons are not
natural to man, but mighty, powerful, spiritual, backed by the Blood of
Christ, to the pulling down of strongholds. We are to richly and regularly use
them, as that Glory to Glory process unfolds.
Let's discuss physical symptoms. Your job isn't to deny their existence,
since that would be lying. Maladies and diagnoses are real, just as sin, poverty
and death manifest in the realm of reality. Yet, for the Child walking in
Covenant, they're contrary to what our Savior so painfully purchased for us
two-thousand years ago. Aside from that, disease remains a trespasser, with no more
right to one's body than sin has to the soul. We have to make an assessment and
vote, after which there's a period of resisting (lies) and standing. What's
the Father's duty in all of this? He's meticulously watching over His Word to
perform it, in and through the Bride!
One's words will always locate where he is in Christ and Covenant. They also
determine the condition of his soul. We must reprogram ourselves with an
infusion of truth. Reading, ingesting and digesting God's Word will impregnate us
with Life. Something very wonderful transpires as the Church assimilates and
meditates on what the Holy Spirit has imparted. I personally discover a more
keen sensitivity to the Father's Voice. My inner battery becomes supercharged to
"work the works." Satan's ploys are readily identified.
Walk In My Spirit!
"Beloved, so many in the Body of Christ are caught up with the sin issue.
Does the Word not say, there's no good thing in the flesh, that the natural mind
is at enmity with the Spirit? One can't savor an orange with his ear. It's
time to taste and see that the Lord is good. The reward of that challenge can
only arrive by way of setting your face as flint toward the Throne Room, as well
as partaking of My Spirit. Deep calls unto deep. You've been designed to
venture into unfathomable depths to do great business for the Kingdom. In that
endeavor, the Mind of Christ will be automatic. Heaven's hour of repentance,
making those midcourse corrections, setting aside old ways, has arrived. There are
various facets of repentance. Repenting of, or getting over, self remains one
of the most difficult. In that Glory to Glory progression, you'll discover a
prompting to walk in the Spirit. To the extent one yields to that call, sin
will be vitally defeated, since when one has his being in the stream of Heaven's
Light, the lusts of the flesh are extinguished. Always remember, sin poses no
power over the Believer Who has surrendered all, that Soldier desiring to
please the Father's heart. Many entertain and champion their own definitions of
sin. Permit Me to elaborate on that. Refusing to walk in the Spirit is sin
within itself, since there are only two sets of choices before all men...life,
death, blessing and cursing. Iniquity invariably interferes with Heaven's
transference of Glory. Liken the Almighty's perception of missing the mark as an
obstacle designed to interrupt Covenant's infusion of Life, Light and Love, those
good and perfect gifts that belong to the Church. Repent of previous weights...
guilt-promoting memories of prior Satanic attacks, meant to paralyze and
prevent the Family from entering into the fulness of identity, authority and
effectiveness, dreams and visions leading to fulfillment of call and destiny.
Repent of abuse, Precious One, both internal and external. You were not created for
sustained, non-redemptive pain. Who shall lay anything to the charge of God's
elect? What I've deemed clean is pure, indeed. You're not serving a
Commander-in-Chief Who's sitting on the Throne of Glory, contemplating new ways of
making the Youngsters miserable. Neither am I keeping a tally of negatives. No!
Instead, this creative Mind is ongoingly pondering new ways of promoting a
shining within His System. Are you not Living Epistles, known and read of all men?
That test is about to take on a testimony. Your mess will become a message of
Heaven's faithfulness. You are the Cover on My Book! Through the Body of
Christ, men, women and children will be drawn to the Living Word, where they, too,
are slated to be transformed and empowered by the Holy Spirit. Again, I say,
repent of the old, and make room for Glory's new. There's plenty of room in
your walk for the good and perfect. The Bride reflects the taste, choice and
attractiveness of Her Groom. Preparations are in place for a marvelous merging of
Heaven and earth, an era when Christians will be identified by their love,
fruit, signs, wonders and miracles. You will be known, even on earth, as you are
known from My vantage point. Here's Our formula. Where sin abounds, grace much
more gains ascendency; and that will be abundantly discernible to the sense
realm. Make way, as the Word, once more, becomes flesh through the Redeemed!"
