From the Desk of Doctor Paul ..."Then the man and his wife heard the sound of the Lord God as he was walking in the garden in the cool of the day, and they hid from the Lord God among the trees of the garden." Genesis 3:8
"This is what the Sovereign Lord, the Holy One of Israel, says: 'In repentance and rest is your salvation, in quietness and trust is your strength..." Isaiah 30:15
"'Be still and know that I am God; I will be exalted among the nations, I will be exalted in the earth.'" Psalm 46:10
Not many years ago, a fairly major hit was generated by the recording industry..."The Sound of Silence," an incredible work of prophetic art, composed and performed by Simon and Garfunkle. The lyrics spoke of "light and darkness, visions, seeds, people talking without speaking, people hearing without listening, people writing songs that voices never share, and no one dare disturb the sound of silence." It's difficult to know exactly what was going through the minds of the associated authors. Yet today, those words appear to accurately portray the posture of this world and some in the Body of Christ.
You and I were created for fellowship. The Father's secondary desire is for the Family to enjoy the same results and effectiveness witnessed throughout the ministry of Christ. Out of a firm commitment to spend quality and yielded time in the Throne Room, one will surely reenter earth's atmosphere with a solid sense of purpose and destiny, spiritually pregnant with the excellency of Heaven's Glory. Not unlike taking on the essence and nature of one's natural surroundings, the Body of Christ will walk away with direction, vision, a single eye, solid conviction and astounding results.
Being still before the Author and Finisher of our faith invites an impartation of the Supernatural. In that process of Divine exchange, we won't be at a loss for words, works, Power or wisdom.
Easter is right around the corner. In association with that, we are invited by the Lord to consider the lilies. I want you to observe the parallels between the Christian's walk and that special flower. In this portion of Scripture, the Revelator isn't simply giving us an opportunity to think about blossoms, but instead, He is seriously inviting the Believer to ponder and, beyond that, study the lily, for an express purpose.
In my opinion, it's one of the most beautiful flowers in the world, designed by a Dad Who encourages and maintains balance. I have always been drawn to the lily's majesty and fragrance. There's just something special about that plant.
Without question, this marvelous flower doesn't have to do a whole lot of obsessing or worrying. Neither is it assigned any other task, but to simply exist, while pleasuring the senses, in sync with the Father's Master Plan. Quietness and stillness promote the plant's natural beauty. Intriguingly, its "ears" are wide open to receive directives of purpose, as each fiber, cell and molecule is upheld by the Word of God's Power. As part of the Father's creation, it, too, awaits and listens in eager anticipation of a manifestation of the Sons and Daughters of the Most High. Obviously, there's no resistance in that endeavor.
Yieldedness is key to the lily's beauty. Such remains the case with humanity, from personal salvation, healing, health and prosperity, to the winning of souls.
In the Song of Solomon, the Bridegroom, our Lord, refers to himself as the lily of the valley. His bride declares that she belongs to him, with an utmost intent of finding her lover. In line with that, this is the most crucial hour to seek the Father with all our heart, while cultivating intimacy with the One Who wants to literally shine through us.
The lily possesses a single stalk. Nutrients are delivered through a solitary, yet deep system, with a specific purpose and no division. The Church can learn a lesson from that mode of existence. We are to retain a single eye, refusing alternative venues of temptation, frequently facilitated by the cares of this world and deceitfulness of riches and influence. The lily's root system is invariably drawn to water, representative of the Word and Holy Spirit, both required for survival. Petals open early in the morning, not unlike the time when Jesus sought the Father in prayer. Dew, mentioned many times in Scripture as the Revelator's Presence, covers its five petals. Interestingly enough, the lily's beauty and promotion aren't dependent upon its own work, but a Creator Who promised to meet all needs, according to His riches in (the) Glory."
Heaven is prepared to serve Fresh Bread. Let's partake of the offering together.
"Precious Child, inherent in maturity is a mandate to no longer consider
childish ways, but instead, the necessity of growing up. What isn't of love can
never come from Me. The measuring stick of spiritual growth will always be love,
yieldedness, obedience and a quickness to repent. Consider Jesus. His earthly
responsibility was to do and be just that. He went about doing good, healing
all oppressed of the enemy. The Savior was never an apologist, but
Demonstrator of the Glory, since Heaven's intent isn't manifested in word, but Power...
signs, wonders and a demonstration (show and tell...in that order) of the
Spirit. Even that youngster in a classroom, fulfilling "show and tell" duties,
possesses and displays the tangible, in order to please the teacher and hold his
audience. Furthermore, via a display of associated teaching, listeners are able
to better comprehend and appreciate the presentation. Most of Us embrace and
enjoy Heavenly gifts, when the Word becomes flesh. Love without visible
manifestation is empty. Absent communication in varied ways, there can be no lasting
relationship. Hear this well! I no longer will be known as a 'third person'
God, but a relevant, active, contemporary Father, poised to do very current
business for the Kingdom. Toward that end, I am asking the Body of Christ to grow
up in the Word and sound doctrine, cooperate with Heaven's sanctification
progression, one of going from Glory to Glory, where Love, Light and Life reach
such a point that darkness, sickness, poverty and death will be no match for
what emanates from your pores. You cannot resemble your God without Him. This
process isn't a fleshly endeavor of 'trying' to act like Me, but yielding to the
Motivator of Change within, permitting a revelation of who you are, with and
without Christ, arriving at an end of self, becoming sick and tired of the
norm, while hungering and thirsting for a fulfillment of the Word...those
desires, dreams and visions that have been pricking your heart in these days of
Outpouring. Be still, and know, as knowing is derived from hearing. Pray the Word!
Nothing can be more simple and mundane than that. As a legal expert, the time
has arrived for the Church to boldly approach the Throne, minus a sense of
sin-consciousness and unworthiness, but as Joint-Heirs with Christ, mindful of
their rights, privileges, and yet to be fulfilled Great Commission. Resurrection
can strictly be promoted through death to self, a saying, 'No!' to that
flesh, renewing your mind and setting that face as flint. No demon from hell can
resist a Soldier with those priorities. Again, all wisdom and knowledge
originates and is generated from their Source. Look to Me, as we turn this world
upside down with the unprecedented!"
