Calvary's Draw!
"Deep calls to deep in the roar of your waterfalls; all your waves and
breakers have swept over me. By day the Lord directs his love, at night his song is
with me...a prayer to the God of my life." Psalm 42:7-8
"Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, for they will be
filled." Matthew 5:6
"All inhabitants of the earth will worship the beast...all whose names have
not been written in the book of life belonging to the Lamb that was slain from
the creation of the world." Revelation 13:8
There's a hunger within the spirit of humanity, which can only be filled by
Sustenance from the Fifth Dimension. It's a proverbial itch, refusing
satisfaction, absent a Special Hand, an unquenchable thirst, awaiting Living Water.
Sadly, most of us attempt to satisfy that inner emptiness with anything, and
everything, appealing to the senses, whatever can be seen, felt, tasted or heard.
Yet, for some reason, we walk away with the same, seemingly perpetual void.
Frustration, depression and anxiety quickly follow.
Usually, at that point, unhealthy relationships and obsessions, involving
food, money, material possessions, compulsions, addictions, and other temporary
pain killers (dopamine enhancers) are embraced to still the inner-child's
(spirit's) scream for reality... love, acceptance, destiny, purpose, comfort and
guidance.
Understand this. You were not created to live in pain, but were made to have
the above. The Body of Christ has been fully redeemed from the curse of the
law. Sin, sickness, poverty, death and defeat are enemies. The soul strongly
bears witness to that fact, as very few feel good about negativity. In the
natural, society does its best to relieve discomfort and promote harmony. Yet, the
arm of flesh invariably fails. But God has the final word, one taking on flesh
and delivering us from Satan's snares.
Two-thousand years ago, Jesus contemplated His fate in the Garden, while the
Master's disciples slept. "Father, if it's at all possible, let this cup pass
from me." Like us, He possessed a natural mindset, was as much man as God.
Nevertheless, in the following breath, the Redeemer articulated words of total
surrender, "Nevertheless, not my will, but yours be done!"
What flashed before our Savior at that particular point? Without question, He
could discern those nails, that spear, the mocking crowd, Blood flowing from
His precious veins, the eyeballs of hell watching in joyful anticipation and a
false perception of permanently removing the Problem. However, that was far
from the epitome of torment experienced, since Jesus clearly knew that every
iniquity, disease, torment...past, present and future, would have to be borne
all at once, a sight that would cause the Father to look away in absolute
heartbreak. For this was Heaven's Jewel, paying the ultimate, final price for our
Redemption and Joint-Heirship. No longer were we to be slaves to sin and its
byproducts, but a different, superior species of being, recreated in Dad's
likeness and image, able to think and do as He, without limitations, dreamers and
builders, performers of the miraculous, Containers of Heaven's Glory!
I am so tired of "playing church," but sincerely want to be The Church!
There's a whole lot of difference between the two. As a bottom-line,
result-oriented choleric, this author hasn't much room in his life for idle chit chat. Some
appreciate those things. But, I get bored easily. There's a side of me that
sort of likes living on the edge, being different, and pioneering, particularly
for Christ. When something isn't working, especially if it involves me, Paul
Gervais is usually the first to know. And to be honest, the Bride is sadly
living so far beneath Her rights and privileges in the Lord. Neither are we
realistically fulfilling the Great Commission.
How many get saved at the end of each church message and meeting? What about
our outreach programs? Are budgets and burdens heavier than Glory's Anointing?
Reports of deliverance, healings and resurrections are often absent. They
simply aren't happening. Compared to the active ministry of Jesus, how does the
Bride measure up?
Being under a prophetic, signs and wonders unction is interesting. Many
reading this can relate. One group will say, "We need to be careful. It took us a
long time to build up this church. No one can be offended." Another might
exclaim to seasoned Believers, "Let's save the Gifts of the Spirit for home
meetings and personal use. Practice them on your own. Who knows? An unsaved, worldly
person may venture into this place and get turned off."
Are you dizzy yet? Really and truly, that type of goofy thinking is out
there. My Bible says, the Holy Spirit builds God's Church. Such was the case on the
day of Pentecost. We must yield to Him, stop our thinking and do more
hearing.
Without the Third Person of the Trinity, no man can come to the Father.
Additionally, He is the Power Agent, Truth Portrayer, Manifestor of the Miraculous.
How frequently have we grieved Him through fear, or attempting to make
contrary decisions in going His work?
No matter where you might be this very moment, your joy, peace, situations
and circumstances are all pointing toward the cross. Before Calvary's hill lies
a two way street, comprised of lanes for both praise and supplication. That
dissatisfaction, those inner nudgings and promptings, the Christian's previously
unquenchable thirst, all lead to a juncture of surrender and remedy. There's
no room for selfishness, fear or personal agendas. The journey must be made
with the humble heart of a Servant, one poised and ready to lay down his life
for others. How can the Redeemed lead another to a place where he has never
personally been?
The Holy Spirit is ready to unveil more about this topic. Let's give Him our
full attention.
Inventory's Moment!
"Joint-Heir, true repentance can only begin when one becomes sick and tired
of being sick and tired. Your posture toward the cross must parallel that of
the Savior...counting the cost, laying down the lower life for a higher walk in
Me, taking on the spirit of a Servant, being instant in and out of season,
willing to follow that inner Cloud to the four corners of the earth in prayer and
person, when necessary. Oh, what excitement and expectancy each day will
behold! Church, you are living in an hour and day when the unexpected will occur
on a regular basis. As Conduits of Glory, the residual of what is sown will
always impact the Vessel, while Love, Light and Life flow through every atom of
your being. While sowing, you, too, will reap what's being sown. Did Jesus not
partake of the young lad's lunch, in the multiplying of loaves and fishes? The
Believer is in an exact place where all needs will be met, according to My
riches in the Glory, through Christ...an automatic. In taking care of Dad's
business, He'll handle yours, perfecting everything of concern, defeating enemies
and resistance in every category, at all levels, parting seas, when necessary.
No good thing will be withheld. Look up at the cross, the source of all, as
your redemption draws nigh, through the Redeemer, Who fully paid the bill for
the Christian's abundant Life. It's time to drop personal agendas and fears,
while looking to Calvary. Your Savior never followed a laser-printed program,
but was led of Heaven, moment by moment. He took no thought about what to say,
but was given mighty words of great wisdom, at the proper time. Neither was the
Surrendered One ever late or out of season. Take inventory. Set aside time,
daily, to fellowship the Father and receive instruction, along with midcourse
corrections. Repentance is not a negative posture, but will lead to an
immediate release of emotional pain and weights, making way for a Throne Room's
invasion into your walk and world. Understand, I don't live to maintain a record of
wrongs or punish, but to promote and bless. Dad's desire is for you to be
precisely like Him in thought, word, experience and deed. Don't be fearful of
boldly approaching the One Who loves the Family best. As you fully get to know Me,
all hell will break loose, in and around your life and ministry. There's been
so much misrepresentation of the Kingdom. The revelation and manifestation
must first begin in you. So come. Let us reason together, as I Personally
explain those previously misunderstood mysteries. You will return from the Secret
Place with a literal glow on your Countenance, and people will know We've been
hanging out together. Saturated with Heaven's Essence, death will not survive
that onslaught of Life!"
