The Sorrow Bearer!
"He was despised and rejected by men, a man of sorrows, and familiar with
suffering. Like one from whom men hide their faces he was despised, and we
esteemed him not. Surely he took up our infirmities and carried our sorrows, yet we
considered him stricken by God, smitten by him, and afflicted. But he was
pierced for our transgressions, he was crushed for our iniquities; the punishment
that brought us peace was upon him, and by his wounds we are healed." Isaiah
53:3-5
"The Spirit of the Sovereign Lord is upon me, because the Lord has anointed
me to preach good news to the poor. He has sent me to bind up the
brokenhearted, to proclaim freedom for the captives and release from darkness for the
prisoners, to proclaim the year of the Lord's favor and the day of vengeance of
our God, to comfort all who mourn, and provide for those who grieve in Zion...to
bestow on them a crown of beauty instead of ashes, the oil of gladness
instead of mourning, and a garment of praise instead of a spirit of despair. They
will be called oaks of righteousness, a planting of the Lord for a display of
his splendor." Isaiah 61:1-3
Like men on a chessboard, we are living in a world of spiritual strategies.
The Lord's people are poised to do great business for the Kingdom. However, we
are not without an opponent, or enemy.
In the natural, you and I are no match for the adversary's ability to also
call those things which be not, as though they were, until each becomes. Satan
is the master of illusion, and outside of faith's arena, the Church can never
defeat him.
It's time we fully recognize that fact, and have our being where the Believer
belongs. I'm talking about God's Throne Room, that Secret Place of the Most
High, Dad's Presence, if you will, under the shadow of the Almighty. The only
real victory for the Family is secured through intimacy with the Father,
walking in revelation knowledge, while being obedient to those nudgings and
promptings.
The Holy Spirit spoke to me, ever so emphatically, this week. Basically, He
made a few key points abundantly clear. This is what the Revelator said:
Being a jealous God, not unlike the protective posture of any good parent or
lover, the Father won't permit Heaven's Children to give others His rightful
position in their lives. Whatever, or whomever, humanity places on the Throne
in God's stead, will ultimately fail and fall. Relationships, or anything else
within tangibility's grasp, won't be able to scratch that itch perpetuated by
the Holy Spirit. Only Dad's hand can still the discomfort and meet those
innermost desires.
Have you ever pondered this fact? What is an itch? In most cases, it's the
mildest form of pain, meant to gain one's attention. As wounds heal, that
tickling sensation is an indicator of where a person's recovery level lies. For
some, the feeling may well become more intense, if the discomfort isn't addressed.
In like fashion, that dissatisfaction in the core of your being is the very
wooing of Heaven, a beginning of Glory's manifestation, if we'll only yield.
Although the Lord never wants us to reside in physical and emotional malaise,
pain can be a friend. In my life, it's an indicator of required adjustment.
By making Spirit-led corrections, that negative feeling, or pain, usually
vanishes.
In the Bride's Glory to Glory process of becoming more like Jesus, She
encounters the tempter, as the Master did during His ministry on this planet. For
us, however, the fight is positive. God calls it a good fight of faith. Why is
that so? Because of the finished work of Christ, you and I are more than
conquerors. The battle's already been won. We simply venture into Glory's land of
promises, and take hold of what's rightfully ours through the Savior's
Blood-secured Covenant. The only fighting necessary in this endeavor is that of
this...having done all to stand, standing on the word. Outlast Satan for one second,
and the vital victory is ours.
Once more, I want to remind you that things aren't always as they appear. In
the arena of the senses you'll be invariably licked. Yet, by attempting to
pull hell into Covenant's stadium of faith, a discovery will be made that the
devil won't show up. He can't stand the Glory!
How often did Satan attempt to fool Jesus? Scores of times, as Christ was
tempted in all points, like as we, yet without sin. Translated another way, the
Obedient One refused to yield, or be sidetracked, by neither man nor demon.
Focus was on the Father and their mutual vision. No exception was made. The
Savior strictly stood upon the Word and experienced the ultimate victory of
resurrection and redeeming mankind from the curse of the law. Such will be the case
with His Church, as quality decisions are made to take the Bible seriously. A
sidenote here. That Book, authored and quickened by the Holy Spirit, contains
answers and Supernatural provision for everything pertaining to life and
godliness. You need not be defeated on a single score.
How frequently have you personally conducted a pity party? I've sponsored
quite a few on my walk. For some strange reason, not too many others, even when
invited, wanted to attend. Should you determine to have one, do so! The event
has productive potential, particularly if a single Guest is present...the
Person of the Holy Spirit, since He's the only One Who can do something about that
problem!
Why does the Lord challenge the Children to boldly approach the Throne for
grace and mercy? God also invites us to reason with Him, which tells me that
He's waiting and willing to listen, since Dad's interested in everything about
us. God is reasonable. Additionally, Heaven is keenly and compassionately
concerned when it comes to how the Family feels, desiring to dispense remedies,
whenever needed. Along with that, when the mark is missed, don't run from Papa,
but vigorously head in His direction. Sin promotes a dispatching of grace, an
entity designed to restore and reconcile. Don't ever be afraid of that One Who
loves you best.
Let's be blunt with ourselves for a moment. We're tried everything else.
Relationships are failing faster than newly opened restaurants. The divorce rate
is between sixty and eighty percent. Seventy percent of women are being
rejected and abandoned by men, which doesn't say much about us. Children, embracing
untold anger, internalize and personalize what happens in their families of
origin. Hostilities are acted out daily, in and outside of the classroom. Couples
are choosing to take up residency together, absent the commitment of
marriage. We need not preach a whole lot on that subject, which speaks volumes for itself.
Under those conditions, less than ten percent are still standing
together, after six years. Sexual relationships, outside of marital commitment, place
such a demand on the union, that, more often than not, they usually end with a
fragmentation of identity, a jadedness that affects all future emotional
investments. Physical bonding, outside of God's will, results in broken hearts,
abandonment, rejection and a loss of hope.
Dad is calling us home, first in spirit and presence, then person. Let's
attend to the Agent of Truth, as He sheds more Light on this matter.
Anticipation!
"Beloved, so many in the Body of Christ are trusting Me for their salvation,
knowing fully well that their names have been added to the Lamb's Book of
Life. But they are fearful of turning all sorrows over to the One Who totally
assumed them, after paying the highest of prices to set each and every soul free.
If you trust Me with your sins, you are to trust Dad with those sorrows. Your
thoughts are to gestate and flow from a renewed mind. No longer are you to be
in bondage to men and other so-called gods. My yoke is easy. Heaven's burden
is Light. Yes! The Throne of your Lover is one of constant Illumination and
dispatch, as every good and perfect gift descends from the Father of Lights, in
Whom there is no variableness, neither shadow of turning. The frustration
experienced both in, and about, the world has been healthy, since true repentance
and change can only successfully emanate from becoming sick and tired of being
sick and tired. You have perceived well! Nevertheless, my Kids aren't to
become caught up in this earth's negativity, but instead, they have been anointed
to become visionaries. Has it not been written that the knowledge of Heaven's
Glory will be unprecedented in the days ahead? No city block is to be left out
of that plan. Every home will be inundated with a Fallout that will literally
enlighten, heal the sick, deliver captives, prosper the poor and raise the
dead. Why would there exist a desire to do that? Because I Am a good God, a
Father Who always travels the extra mile, via grace and mercy, to shed His love
abroad in every heart. Never has it been My will for a soul to perish. Thus, the
Outpouring must be so phenomenal that not a single human will stand without a
revelation of the Risen Christ, a chance to enter the Kingdom, which is in
Power and a demonstration of the Spirit. Neither will anyone be able to accuse
Me of sin or its byproducts. The devil is set on division, but the Holy Spirit
will unite people, as never before, while the Creator's will is being done on
earth, as it is in Heaven. Think of the issue in this way. If I promoted and
freely permitted sickness, poverty and death, why would Jesus, two-thousand
years ago, receive daily instruction to heal and deliver? Did He ever say, 'The
Father wants you to live this oppressed life?' Surely not! A house divided
against itself can never stand. That lying concept never made sense to Me, either!
Abandonment and betrayal haven't come from My hand. I Am the first to feel
your pain. Remember that! The Head (Jesus) continuously discerns emotions, even
before they impact your thought processes. Are you ready for some wonderful
news? Each pain will be translated into a visible gain! All experiences in life
have pointed to the cross and Throne Room. Prepare yourself for an awesome
infusion of joy!"
